Twelve corporate teams also took part in the tournament alongside the celebrity pro exhibition matches, with guests witnessing Sentosa Shipbrokers and Mandala Club battle it out in the tournament final, and Sentosa Shipbrokers taking home the trophy.
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world and is accelerating quickly in Asia: the Asia Pacific region has seen approximately 27% year-on-year growth in the number of padel courts. In Singapore, what began with just a handful of rooftop courts in 2021 has expanded to more than 30 courts across public and private venues today, with projections suggesting more than 40 courts by the end of next year.
