A former gymnast, Friday uses aggressive tricks and aerials to rack up style
points in wakeboarding competitions. She has been one of the most dominant
athletes in any sport over the past two years, winning 13 of 15 professional women's titles in 2003 and 2004.
Her major victories over that span include two Indmar Performance Awards as the top female wakeboarder on the Pro Wakeboard Tour, the National and World Championships, two Malibu Open Championships, two U.S. Masters Championships and the Vans Triple Crown of Wakeboarding Championship.
The most decorated woman wakeboarder in X Games history, she took her third gold in 2004. In October she won a slice of the biggest wakeboarding purse in history at the Gravity Games H2O in Perth, Australia. For her achievements, sports network ESPN awarded Friday the 2004 ESPY for Best Female Action Sports Athlete. Friday is the first wakeboarder, male or female, to even been nominated for an ESPY.
