Won their first Champions League title, beating English club Chelsea 4-0 in the final. The Spanish club are now the first to have won both men’s and women’s Champions League titles. Barcelona scored their four goals in the first 36 minutes to secure victory. It was the biggest winning margin in a women’s final. Their star was captain Alexia Putellas who scored a penalty to put Barcelona 2–0 up in 13 minutes, then played a ball through for Bonmatí to score Barcelona's third. Putellas was named UEFA Women's Player of the Year, becoming the first Spanish player to be chosen, and also won the Ballon d'Or.
