Plays for Liga F club Real Madrid and the Colombia women's national team. At 18 and she became the first footballer to have played in three World Cups in the same year: Under 17, Under 20 and Women’s World Cup. At the Women's World Cup, she scored a goal in Colombia's opening win against South Korea, which made her the second youngest player, at 18 years and 153 days, to score in a World Cup, behind Brazilian legend Marta. She also scored in the second group game against Germany, which Colombia won 2-1 and which was one of the shocks of the tournament. Caicedo was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February 2020, aged 15, but returned to football after successful treatment.
