The Norwegian striker proved to be an amazing goal-scoring machine following his €60 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City. He scored 52 for his new club in the 2022/23 season – 36 in the Premier League, 12 in the Champions League, three in the FA Cup and one in the Carabao Cup. His 36 goals were the most ever scored in a season since the Premier League was created in 1992, and he was named Premier League Player of the Year. His 52 were the most goals in one season in all competitions by a Premier League player surpassing Mohammed Salah and Ruud van Nistelrooy. He also scored six goals for Norway.
