Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is one of the greatest 400m hurdlers of all time, holding six of the ten fastest ever times and winning two Olympic gold medals and a world title in a stunning career. Now aged 26, in 2025 she switched to the 400m flat and proved just as invincible, winning the gold medal at the World Championship in Tokyo with a time of 47.78 secs, the second-fastest time in history, just 0.18 outside the world record. She won a second World Championship gold medal in the 4x400m relay, as Team USA set a new championship record of 3:16.61.
